Nitia Steward
Roenitia Steward was introduced to Unity five years ago. She was often called to provide special music and helped to start the Unity Choir at Unity Church of the Triangle when on Whittaker Mill Road in Raleigh.
Being a person in search of her own truth, she believes that God has always had big plans for her life. What an "amazing shift in consciousness, I consider Unity BIG in my life. To have a gift that I can use and share with others is awesome."
Nitia, as she is known by us, has had some formal training in high school and college choirs. "Being hit by the Broadway bug set off the entertainer in her," she says. Even though quite shy by nature, there is something special about music that makes her feel safe. "Understanding the healing and devotion it brings to people's lives and hearts makes it easy to get lost in the vibration of it all. I feel such joy to be a part of what God is doing through the music in me and Unity."
